Geely Group Motorsport has appointed Ron Hartvelt as customer sport director, heading the TCR customer racing programme as his first task within the company.
"We are delighted to welcome Ron to Geely Group Motorsport," said Alexander Murdzevski, Vice President - Head of Geely Group Motorsport.
"He has got vast talent and experience from many years at the very top level of motorsport and will be a key part in our expansion of operations for the TCR customer programme and future projects.
"Hartvelt, who has a rich CV in motorsport engineering, including five years at Red Bull Formula 1, eleven years at RML Group, both leading the organisation and their touring car success.
"I am thrilled to join Geely Group Motorsport and be a part of this new and exciting journey," said Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport.
"Geely is one of the fastest growing automotive manufacturers in the world and to be a part of their motorsport arm is very exciting.
"Geely Group Motorsport handles strategic alignment on motorsport activities for the brands within Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) and was formed in 2018 with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Hangzhou, China.
