Nikon launches the new Z 50 Mirrorless Camera with the latest NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR lenses

From spontaneous selfies to edgy street photography to inspiring beauty and lifestyle experiences, the Z 50 easily captures these visual contents for instant sharing online. Nikon Middle East FZE is also pleased to announce the release of two new lenses to complement the new Z 50. Fashioned to capture eye-catching moments, the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR are high-performance zoom lenses perfect for expressive individuals who enjoy creating on the go.


Designed to capture your creative vision using ground-breaking technology, the Z 50 is a high functionality ergonomic camera with a 3.2” touch-screen 1040k-dot monitor and an effective pixel count of 20.88 megapixels that delivers remarkable colour, clarity and sharpness. Featuring a new CMOS sensor and image-processing engine, the Z 50 adopts the same hybrid autofocus (AF) system as the Z 7 and the Z 6 and comes equipped with one of the first Nikon CMOS sensors that incorporates phase-detection AF and eye-detection AF which can be toggled to have the focus effectively centred to the eye or face of the subject. Equipped with in-built Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi® for SnapBridge 2.6, enables users to instantly share their snapshots on social media. The camera’s wide array of movie functions, including full-pixel readout with no crop in 4K UHD, Full HD 120p with audio, 4K UHD and Full HD time-lapse will be appreciated by photography enthusiasts and filmmakers alike.


The compact and versatile lenses, NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR offer ground-breaking optical performance and uncompromised image quality. Equipped with a powerful stepping motor (STM) along with autofocus (AF) enables quiet and accurate AF control with both still-images and movie recordings while the diaphragm mechanism enables stable exposure for continuous shooting. Furthermore, the in-lens optical Vibration Reduction (VR) function reduces image-blur. In combination with the Z 50, offers stable performance when shooting moving subjects panning shots by activating the “SPORT” mode. The focus-breathing reduction features ensures minimal shifting of the angle of view when adjusting focus during high speed continuous shooting or movie recording to have that flawless movie or photoshoot. The easy-to-operate control ring and a retractable-lens mechanism provides users with an effortless and comfortable image and movie recording experience.
